A bad recovery from a few days ago. One motor mount was holding to keep the engine in. I’m happy to say I talked to the owner before it was picked up. Not many we pull up on and have to really look to figure out what vehicle it is.

I thought this was a cool opportunity to share a feature. This was a newer electric Chevy. But the picture doesn’t do it justice. The cameras were amazing! It was only towed due to a flat tire. Sometimes I wish my truck had cameras this good!

Ok I have to bring up this topic. I know it’s controversial. But I’ve seen the damage that can happen as well. If you’re stuck in the ditch. Please be very careful who you allow to help get you out. Why you ask? These new vehicles are not built like they used to be. The components are cheaper metal. There is so much more underneath, than your old control arms and solid axels. If you bend or break some of these new parts yanking on them with a pickup and a chain. It can cost you thousands. The reason we use a winch and pulley system is it’s controlled and a slow steady pull. You can stop and reset as many times as you need. If you get yanked out by the yee yee truck. What happens when you can’t stop and run into it? I’m not saying they don’t have good intentions. Also there is a time and place it may be necessary. Just please take this advice into consideration. These tow trucks are designed to safely recover vehicles. Thanks for coming to my ted talk. Have a safe and wonderful holiday driving season!

We don’t post many of our tows. But this one was interesting, and had a good outcome. The driver just picked up his belongings today. Said at the time of the wreck it had 5 ppl inside. Two adults and 3 kids. They all were ok! He did say the firemen on scene were very nice and helped his wife out of the ditch. He was driving 40mph and still slid and ended up in this. So if we get more white stuff today. Take it easy and make it to your destination safely!
