Having started auto body as teen in the mid 70's, my passion towards the American made muscle cars has always been a driving force in my every day life, that and its really cool when you can live life through the hobby you dig. Since 1978 I have had the passion for rebuilding “Detroit Muscle” one car at a time, and at nearly 250 plus personal cars under my belt, I will continue to build and strive for them to regain their status on the road once again.

The bumper bolts were surprisingly easy while the six bolts to the valance put up a solid fight.

⚠️LONG VIDEO⚠️ Well a week ago yesterday the 67 Firebird made its way home, only after our failed attempt to use a two wheel car dolly and finding our the rear brake drums had fused themselves to the pads. The call was made to our good friend John at Tanners towing who has for years hauled many a “dead horses” or as I call them “projects” to my driveway.

* As a note this is a longer reel than I usually post and most of you won’t invest the time into an over 3 minute video, if you could though hit the like button to show you at least saw some of it. Also I didn’t add music as it would only play for about a minute and that’s just distracting and disappointing lol

That all being said I hope you enjoy watching the 67 Pontiac Firebird make its way home after over 40 years of grazing in pastures to finally sitting on solid pavement!

Side yard project 2026.
After being in our “new to us” home since 2022 the side of the house has always been a useless space and since as of this coming November I do t plan on ever renting a shop again.
As most you know the plan is to build my own shop in the back yard… but first was to remove the two 70 foot locust trees (on which was removed this spring). Now to get rid of the three foot slop on the side of the garage.
The plan is to grade the dirt and make new landscaping out front, plant a few trees and plants to ease the pain of my neighbors. Also once the dirt is relocated I can drop about 4” to 6” of gravel for a nice parking area behind a new fence and gate!

But of course the day I get started is the day it rains… go figure.

well we have had a few folks as to see some before pics of the 1967 Pontiac Firebird. So I guess the first thing I need to do is create the photo album for all the pics and videos we have collected so far since last November of 2025 when the Firebird entered our lives.

Next with a little help from AI and a lot of imagination we created a pic to help see the past of the 67 Firebird when it was new and hopefully down the road what it will look like again (plus we wanted a good album cover pic).
So without further adieu, let’s begin this journey…
