Having started auto body as teen in the mid 70's, my passion towards the American made muscle cars has always been a driving force in my every day life, that and its really cool when you can live life through the hobby you dig. Since 1978 I have had the passion for rebuilding “Detroit Muscle” one car at a time, and at nearly 250 plus personal cars under my belt, I will continue to build and strive for them to regain their status on the road once again.

I don’t know what kind of form they used to make the new floor pans but I have had to cut off 75% of the passenger side one just to try and make it fit, also the bolt hole was like two inches off so that gets to be cut and re-welded in as well.

Good thing it’s not hot out cause this would really suck… OH WAIT 🥵🥵🥵

I’ve seen a lot of rust over the past 40 plus years but I honestly have no idea what’s holding this truck together.
I’ve begun the process to fit the new rocker panels but am finding that there is little to anything to weld to and I’ve done quite a few of these C10 repairs.
I’ll get er’ done it’s just how much time and effort it’s going to take to even get close to making it right…

It’s always crazy when I see one of the cars I created in 2017 posted for sale on marketplace.
The amount of time spent removing the 12 layers of enamel paint, buckets of pink bondo and replacing hours of new sheet metal was insane!

The funny part is nothing has really changed on the 72 Nova since I worked on it years ago, except the price…
$25,000 dollars for a car worth half that much, the original owner didn’t even have that much in it at at all during that time.

so the home compressor died on me a couple months ago and with all I had going on knee and shoulder wise it was more of an out of sight out of mind situation… but while trying to navigate through the repairs to the C10 in the driveway I had come to the conclusion that air tools are a must no matter what the neighbors think.
So this past week I have begun to clean up around the home shed (I’ll get to that in the next post) and sold a few things that were lingering from the old Papillion shop.
With cash in hand I looked around for a new “home shop” compressor that had to run off 110 and be efficient enough to run air tools.
I found this little 30 gallon Craftsman for $120 on marketplace and after using my sweet negotiating skills I got it down to 100 bucks which is what I made from the back yard cleanup!
So basically FREE !!!

now to sell the old broke compressor and make my money back!
