Having started auto body as teen in the mid 70's, my passion towards the American made muscle cars has always been a driving force in my every day life, that and its really cool when you can live life through the hobby you dig. Since 1978 I have had the passion for rebuilding “Detroit Muscle” one car at a time, and at nearly 250 plus personal cars under my belt, I will continue to build and strive for them to regain their status on the road once again.

with gas prices being what they are I’m spending more time in town getting things done around the house and getting work...

with gas prices being what they are I’m spending more time in town getting things done around the house and getting work done on the 67 Mustang.

Today was the start of body work as well removing layers of paint from the air intake vents near the windshield opening.
There is still a ton of work to be completed before the mustang leaves town in June.

there is always a starting point for anything to happen, that was this Friday. Starting at 9am the first and most dangerous 70 foot tree in our yard spent its last 4 hours threatening our home and standing in the way of our furniture home shop.
As with anything you do in life, it takes time and money, which I have little of either.
The next step is to move the shed to the other side of the yard so our tree guy can get to the second tree exposing the ground below as it awaits it future foundation work and concrete slab ! ! !

today the coupe to fastback finally received a factory 5 lug rear end!
It was degreased, wire wheeled, sanded and cleaned before primer and paint were applied. At a later date (much later) it will receive some posi gears and disc brakes, but for now it make the mustang a complete roller with the new wheels.

some days you never know what you’ll work on…today was the firewall of a nice classic vette.
There had been some prior damage and repairs done but evidently not done correctly.
After sanding layers of body filler I found an old “fiberglass repair” it looked more like a burlap sack that had been held in place with bondo (but who really knows)… anyways, I ground it all away to find a couple holes in need of repair, grabbed some Fibertech and after about four layers and sanding it’s looking much better.
Needs to finish, prime and paint but that’s for another day!
