A lot can change in the seconds it takes to notice a hazard and react.

More speed means your teen’s car travels farther during those seconds. On your next practice drive, talk about the posted limit and when conditions call for a slower speed.

Try asking: “What’s ahead that might mean we need to slow down?”

A notification can wait. Your teen’s attention belongs on the road.

Before starting the car, choose the route, put the phone out of reach, and turn on Do Not Disturb. Need to respond? Find a safe place to park first.

Parents, what helps your family keep phones out of the drive?

The first habit to practice happens before the car moves.

Before every drive with your teen, check that everyone is buckled up. The shoulder belt goes across the chest, and the lap belt sits low across the hips.

Make it the same routine in every seat, on every trip, including when your teen rides with someone else.

Safe driving starts with a conversation. Before the next drive, ask your teen: “What would you do if a friend distracted you behind the wheel?”

Talk through a plan together: buckle up, put the phone away, follow speed limits, and never drive impaired or drowsy.

National Teen Driver Safety Week is October 18–24. Pick one habit to practice together this week. Which conversation will you start?

Today, October 17, is National Slow Down, Move Over Day. 🚧

Roadside workers, first responders, and stranded motorists need space to stay safe.

When you see a vehicle stopped beside the road with flashing lights:
• Look ahead and stay alert.
• Move into a lane away when it’s safe.
• If you can’t safely move over, slow to a reasonable speed and pass carefully.

Give them room to get home. Make it a habit every day.

Another successfull drive test in the books!

Keshav, was a very happy jungle cat thismorning and learned that driving does take some practice.

All his hard work finally paid off, continue all the jungle rules that you learned in class and remember to always stay safe out there in the jungle!

Most crashes don't come from one bad decision. They come from habits.

Speeding a little. Glancing at a text. Following too close. The little stuff is what gets people. Pick one to fix today and the rest get easier.

Which of those three habits is the hardest to break? Drop your honest answer.

School zones are getting busy again, and a few seconds saved never matter more than a child's safety.

Slow down. Watch for kids stepping between parked cars. Put the phone down. Drive like the kid in front of you is yours.

What school-zone reminder do you think every driver in Omaha needs to hear this month?

Running late can turn an ordinary drive into a rushed one.

Build in an extra 10 minutes so you have time to slow down, stay focused, and make safer decisions behind the wheel.

Arriving a little early is always better than taking unnecessary risks to get there on time.

Save this reminder and share it with the newest driver in your family.

School zones, crossings, and bus routes are getting busy again.

Drivers illegally pass stopped school buses an estimated 38.4 million times each school year.

When a school bus stops with red lights flashing, drivers must generally stop in both directions on an undivided road. Laws vary on divided roads, so know the rules and never pass when children are loading or unloading.

You don't hire a lecturer to teach your teen something this important. You hire a coach.

Our instructors are background-checked, state-certified, and trained in adventure-based teaching. Every one of them is in this for the same reason: saving teen lives, one student at a time.

Comment with a shout-out to a coach, teacher, or instructor who helped you build real confidence.

Roundabouts confuse a lot of new drivers, even some experienced ones.

Two rules cover most of it: yield to traffic already in the circle, and signal before you exit. Slow in, look left, signal out. That's it.

Do roundabouts still stress you out, or did they ever?

As we celebrate America’s 250th Independence Day, the roads will be busier, the nights will be later, and safety matters more than ever.

Whether you’re heading to fireworks, family gatherings, or a weekend celebration, make the smart choice behind the wheel. Slow down, stay alert, avoid distractions, and never drive impaired.

Freedom is worth celebrating. So is getting home safely.

Heat is hard on cars, and most teen drivers don't know what to check.

Tire pressure, coolant, never leaving anything (or anyone) in a parked vehicle. Summer doesn't take a day off, and neither should the habits.

What's one car-maintenance check you think every teen should learn before they get the keys?
