Yesterday, we had the chance to show a group of Avenue Scholars students a different side of the automotive industry — the independent, locally owned side.

There are some incredible dealerships and large automotive operations out there, but we also wanted these students to see that businesses like Westgate High Tech exist too. We may not have the biggest building or the shiniest showroom, but we are locally owned, deeply invested in our team, committed to ongoing training, and working on some incredibly advanced vehicles every single day.

Westgate owner Zach spent time talking with the students about automotive careers and the opportunities available in the industry before they toured the shop, met our team, and spent time in the back with Nic, Patrick and Cole while they were working on vehicles.

That exposure matters to us. ❤

We value our relationship with Avenue Scholars tremendously because students deserve to see all the paths available to them — including the opportunity to build a successful career inside an independent repair shop where they can truly become part of a team and a community.

Thank you to Avenue Scholars for continuing to bring students through our doors. We love being a small part of helping the next generation discover where their talents might take them. 🚗🔧

Our favorite four-legged Westgate team member was very excited to see Leo, one of our Arnold Motor Supply parts drivers — and apparently Leo knows the quickest way to Falkor’s heart. ❤️

Falkor takes his responsibilities around here seriously: greeting the guests, inspecting the deliveries, and making sure no one leaves without a little attention.
