Race With the Latest Equipment:

Races will be run on a brand-new 6-lane & 4-lane 42-foot Best TrackTM aluminum track with "The Champ" electronic timer, "Edge Super Starter" electr

onic starting gate and "Grand Prix" software to run the races. Race statistics and video will be projected on screens throughout the building.

Eligibility:
There are no pre-qualification requirements for this race. Anyone may race regardless of age or gender. Membership in Cub Scouts or Boy Scouts of America is not required. Scouts will race against each other in one division. Others will race in a separate divisions. Siblings and adults are encouraged to enter a car in the race too!

Registration:
Register in advance by using the on-line registration link on the left side of this web page. Registration fee is $5 per car if registered in advance. Registration fee is $10 if registered at the event.

Rules and Regulations:

Pinewood derby cars must conform to the rules and regulations published on this web site.

Concessions:
Food and beverage concessions will be available at the Mid-America Pinewood Derby

Trophies and Design Awards:

Trophies will be awarded to the fastest racers. Design awards will honor racers whose cars are voted the best in several appearance categories.

Many prizes will be given away throughout the day. You must be present to win these prizes.

All but 2 boxes of derby cars shipped out today the other 2 will go tomorrow. Thank you to everyone who raced via proxy!
Very competitive times this year(can’t believe times continue to get faster every year- we used to be so excited for a graphite to be sub 3.0!)!
Greg will post detailed results soon, our boys have a bunch of Track meets this week.

Help us celebrate our 11th and final Mid-America Derby!
Thank you to all of our sponsors especially Claas of North America, Best Track and Gregg Young Chevy! I appreciate everyone who has supported Greg the last 12 years as his dream for a nice Track for our Cub Scout Pack turned in to the biggest Derby in the nation! We have raced over 10,000 cars in the last 12 years for our Pack 565/558, other Packs, District’s(turning heats every 30 seconds!), our Council’s race and the Mid-America Derby!! We threw a Guinness World Record for the longest Pinewood Derby Track in there too! Thank you to all of our dream building volunteers those that have been here since day one (Bill!) and those that are new this year! It has been a true honor!
