We hope everyone had a great holiday weekend! Now it’s back on the grind and bringing new solutions to the aftermarket automotive world.

This new spacer was designed and produced using 3D scanning + 3D printing. The original spacer was made of wood, which eventually split and cracked under heat and stress. By switching to PPA-CF, we not only improved durability but also gained heat resistance up to 450°F, ensuring reliability in demanding environments.

We also incorporated O-ring grooves, providing a clean, silicone-free seal. The result is a stronger, longer-lasting, and more precise solution.

WEEKLY SPOTLIGHT: Rob's 1955 Chevy Build

Rob brought his beautiful '55 Chevy in a while back for some serious upgrades, and man did we have fun with this one!
Here's what we did:

-Pulled out the old BBC and dropped in an LS-based 408 stroker
-Holley Performance Terminator X EFI system for fuel management
-Tremec TKX 5-Speed transmission from Silver Sport Transmissions
-Ford 9" differential from Quick Performance to handle all that power
-ReduxRacing ITB intake to dress up the engine
-Wilwood Disc Brakes Disk Brake Kit
-Hard-lined everything on the intake for a clean finish with fittings and line brought to you by our friends over at Fragola Performance Systems

This thing is an absolute monster now. Rob's going to have a blast driving it!

We set out to stay true to the original shape of the Camaro center console while incorporating some modern features. The result is a sleek, custom-built piece featuring a flush-mounted 8" touchscreen radio, with a USB pass-through discreetly tucked inside the console.

A removable insert conceals the hardware, and the top section is secured with magnets—no tools required for access. It also includes a billet shift boot trim ring, machined in-house, and a concealed trunk release button for added functionality.

This project is a perfect example of what’s possible with CAD design and additive manufacturing. It’s now ready for upholstery.

What an unforgettable moment we were privileged to be part of! One of our customers shared an incredible story about their father, who, as a teenager, owned his dream car—a 1964 Chevy Impala Super Sport. He kept it spotless, with an engine so clean you could "eat a meal off it," and loved every moment cruising in it. Sadly, he had to sell it in the late 1960s, but for over 50 years, he’s never stopped talking about that car, searching for 64 Super Sports online, and sharing stories with his kids.

Six months ago, his family secretly purchased a 1964 Impala Super Sport and entrusted us at Midwest Speed & Fabrication to restore it to match his dream car. This past weekend, they brought him to our shop in St. Louis for the big reveal!

We just want to say thank you to everybody involved that made this dream come true!
