Job Title: Auto Body Buffer / Painter’s Helper
Location: 3901 N. Portland Ave. Oklahoma City, OK
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday – Friday 8am-5pm
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and hardworking Buffer & Painter’s Helper to join our growing collision repair team. In this role, you will work closely with our refinish technician to prepare vehicles for paint, perform final finishes, and ensure every vehicle looks brand new before delivery. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and maintains a tidy workspace.
Key Responsibilities:
*Surface Preparation: Sand, tape, mask, and degrease vehicle panels to ensure clean surfaces for painting.
*Buffing & Finishing: Ability to remove orange peel, runs, and dust nibs to achieve a flawless, high-gloss shine.
*Final Delivery Prep: Wash and detail completed vehicles, ensuring they are spotless and ready for customer pickup.
*Shop Maintenance: Keep the paint booth, mixing room, and overall workspace clean, organized, and safe.
Qualifications & Skills:
*Proven experience with rotary and dual-action buffers.
*Solid knowledge of auto body surface preparation, masking, and priming.
*Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work.
*Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical labor.
*Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
