Before a BMW Motorrad ever reaches a showroom floor, it's been pushed, tested, refined, and ridden by some of the best in the business.

One of those riders is Nate Kern, BMW Motorrad factory test rider, racer, instructor, and all-around ambassador for the sport.

We had the opportunity to host Nate here at Eurotek OKC last year, and if you were there, you know exactly why riders from across Oklahoma showed up. The riding insights, stories, and track knowledge he shared made it one of those events people still talk about.

Every mile he puts on a motorcycle helps shape the machines we ride today - from the S 1000 RR to the R 1300 GS and beyond.

Some motorcycles tell stories before they're ever started.

This beautiful vintage BMW belongs to our friend Bill Dragoo - adventure rider, instructor, storyteller, and founder of DART (Dragoo Adventure Rider Training).

Bill recently completed an incredible cross-country journey aboard this classic machine and shared the experience in an article called *The Wrong Way Home*. It's a reminder that adventure isn't always about the fastest route, the newest technology, or even making perfect plans. Sometimes it's about embracing the unexpected and seeing where the road leads.

Having the bike stop by Eurotek OKC gave us a chance to appreciate not only a remarkable piece of BMW history, but also the adventures that continue to be written on motorcycles like this decades after they were built.
