Everyone has seen or heard of this happening in our state and others. Read the comments regarding Sulphur livestock blocks.
Interesting. Also interesting: we carry sulphur blocks from American Cattleman.
Ours are solely intended for domestic livestock only, of course.

HUNDREDS OF DEER CONFIRMED DEAD AS EHD TOLL RISES IN WISCONSIN
Wisconsin’s EHD outbreak is getting worse, with more than 500 reports of deer dead or showing signs consistent with hemorrhagic disease in Washington County. Reports are now also coming from neighboring Waukesha and Ozaukee counties, showing the outbreak is spreading beyond the original hotspot.
EHD is spread by tiny biting midges and can kill deer quickly. Infected deer can develop high fevers, become weak and disoriented, have swollen heads and necks, struggle to breathe and often seek out water before dying. With hundreds of deer now reported dead in the affected areas, this is shaping up to be one of Wisconsin’s more significant EHD outbreaks in recent years.
The disease will continue circulating until a hard frost kills the midges carrying the virus. That means the outbreak still has time to grow, and hunters across Wisconsin will want to keep an eye out for dead deer and report them to wildlife officials.
