Terex GTH-5519 Tele-handler repair..Pt.2

Removal of damaged cylinder pin didn't go so well! Pin was seized as I expected. After applying plenty of heat and impact, trying to pull with the 12mm pulling bolt, with no success, we drilled and tapped the end of the pin to a 5/8"-11 thread to pull with. Still no success. After cutting the pin in half, pulling the first half, then drilling and tapping the remaining half, we were finally successful in removing the old pin. Cleaned the bores and test fitted the new pin...now we are just waiting for the rebuilt cylinder to reinstall in Pt. 3...

Always a pleasure to work on this beauty!! 2017 Argo Conquest XTi Outfitter with ALL the accessories! Replaced the old convertible top with a new one. Performed an intensive inspection which located a few problematic areas which were addressed! And made sure it was ready to go for next season!

Convertible canvas top tip!

To remove creases and wrinkles in your clear plastic, from whatever causes and increase visibility!

CAREFULLY...heat the clear plastic with a moderate heat/heat gun. Monitor the heat of the surface with your bare hand while heating. Pulling the plastic tight while heating helps. DO NOT focus the heat too quickly in one spot, but rather gradually heat up the surface moving from one side of the window to the other.
