Need everybody to chime in on this one…
Serious question: How is it that when someone does something on YouTube or TikTok, they’re considered a genius, but when a professional with 20+ years of experience does the exact same thing, they’re called a butcher?
It seems like more and more people are learning bodywork, painting, and mechanics from 60-second videos, then turning around and second-guessing the people who spent decades mastering the trade.
Don’t get me wrong—I think YouTube and TikTok are great learning tools. But watching a video and doing the job successfully every day for 20 years are two very different things.
Just wondering when experience became less valuable than a viral video. 😂

If my prices feel too high, that’s fair—but sometimes that just means we’re not the right fit. I don’t compete with the cheapest option, I compete with the best results. The customers who pay my prices understand the level of time, materials, and craftsmanship that goes into doing it right—and they love how their vehicles turn out.
On the flip side, the “cheap” job usually ends up costing more in the long run—whether it’s poor prep, low-quality materials, or having to redo the work. I’d rather charge what it actually takes to do it right the first time than cut corners just to match a price.
At the end of the day, quality speaks for itself. If you’re looking for the cheapest price, there are plenty of options. If you’re looking for it done right, that’s where I come in. Tyrone’s Paint & Autobody were quality is the passion and quality over quantity.
