It looks like the demise of Palm Beach International Raceway isn’t going to happen! The plan to redevelop it into warehouse space has been scrapped, the property is up for sale again and the owners of South Georgia Motorsports Park hope to secure it and reopen the racetrack!

NMCA/NMRA Update

We worked hard to fast track rules, classes, and payouts to try and fill the void left with the closure of this series. We put entries on sale for Sick at the Rock before Sick Week so that your schedules could be arranged. We anticipated most spots for Sick at the Rock filling up and opening up Sick on the Green after Sick Week. However all the excitement over the events hasn’t translated into entries or class sponsors.

As I stated all along, if the classes don’t fill then we will drop classes and change things around. I will give it until next week and then I will have to make a decision on a direction to go with these events.

Maybe they are just too far outside of our core, as we continue to have huge wait lists for our other events. Maybe we make it a weekend Drag/Drive event instead? Not sure yet, but I will have no regrets in failing to make this happen as is. I would rather try and fail then sit back and watch from the sidelines.
