October 7th 2026: Introducing the best forged piston option for your EA839 Engine. After years of building these engines in house and countless hours of real time testing on the engines we built, we believe this is the best package option that suits almost everyone who is building their bottom end. As you can see with our specifications below, we do not simply have a company make us a generic piston, decades of engine building has given us the knowledge to know what works and what does not. These pistons work with factory and aftermarket connecting rods and pair seamless with all OTS tunes so that no custom tuning is recommended for stage built vehicles.
We have chosen to partner with Diamond Pistons to manufacture our AMTuned spec pistons for the EA839 platform. Made with 2618 aluminum forging, we have custom tailored this piston to those building their engine for both factory and highly modified power levels. This is a symmetrical full piston skirt design for maximum piston skirt support to help keep your engine running healthy for years to come. The skirts are coated to ensure a smooth operation with proper oil retention. Piston pin's are upgraded to Diamond's H13 material to handle whatever you throw at them. Custom pin oiling channels are added into the piston design to keep things running smooth. Gas porting has been added to the upper 1st Ringland so that compression helps create a tighter ring seal. The pistons replicate Audi's bank specific offset pin design for operation that does not exceed factory noise levels. Each piston kit includes 3 pistons for bank 1 and 3 for bank 2. Compression height is modified to work both with customers not resurfacing their engine block, and those resurfacing so that proper clearance remains between piston and cylinder head. Compression ratio is set to 11.2:1 factory spec so that this piston will work perfect on all OTS tunes available. Ring packs used work on the factory iron sleeves as well as aftermarket iron sleeves such as our sleeving option. These pistons have an AMTuned logo etched onto the dome face so that customers know they are receiving an authentic product.
