Everet's cancer update.
It's great that I graduated from a cancer patient to a cancer survivor, but as such I wouldn't recommend cancer and the treatment thereof to anyone. I am better according to the doc's but as many people say, the treatment is worse than the disease. I have permanent changes to my body and even though the main treatment is done it will be more than a year from now before I get back to some sort of normalcy. Take care of yourselves, and for the guys out there make sure you get your PSA levels checked annually. Peace-out.

Hello everyone, this is Everet, first of all thank you to all of our customers for 23 plus years of choosing JEM Auto Glass for your auto glass needs. The last couple of years have been a challenge to me and my family but we are pushing through the best that we can. The challenge for me personally was a prostate cancer diagnosis in February 2024. Tests and ultimately surgery in July took care of most of the cancer, unfortunately there was some left behind. Radiation therapy was scheduled in October but was rescheduled and then rescheduled again to May of this year. I will probably need one more surgery related to the cancer in August as well as a minor unrelated surgery this summer. All this as well as other family things have made it difficult to work regularly. Fortunately, my son, Jonah, has been working through all of this, replacing windshields every day and helping run the business. Jonah has been instrumental in keeping the business running during this time and I very much appreciate it. I have been answering the phone and doing paperwork as well as windshield work when I'm available. Because JEM Auto Glass (Jonah in this case) does all the installations for Treasure Valley Windshields I have been sending customers directly to them for service. Their phone number is 541-889-0037. I will be working part time starting in May. Thanks again for all you support hope to see you in May.

Customers ask us regularly if the glass we install is made in the US. Some of the glass is made in the US but it is made by foreign owed companies. We are limited to the glass our suppliers send us and we don't have much control over that. Our main supplier is Pilkington, which is wholly owned by Nippon Sheet glass, NSG manufactures all over the world including Mexico, the US and Canada. Our second largest supplier is Pittsburg Glass Works. PGW does not manufacture glass they distribute PGW branded glass made by Xinyi (XYG). Pilkington also supplies XYG glass branded as Tri-Val. A third supplier provides XYG glass as XYG glass. We also get some Fuyao glass made in the US, China and starting recently, Russia. One of the largest US made suppliers is Carlex (not on the list). Carlex is a Japanese company that manufactures most of the Ford branded glass we use.
