It's a cold one this week. Just a friendly reminder to make sure you are treating your fuel or using treated fuel.
Pick a brand and stick with it. We have seen a few trucks come in this week that have put multiple additives in their tank. That can cause even more issues.

We are a family owned and operated company.

West Metro Truck Repair was started in 2019. After many years in the trucking industry and auto repair business we opened our heavy truck repair business located right off Hwy 212 in Norwood Young America. We have been servicing our own fleet of trucks and have added additional mechanics to service all public repair needs. As our business continues to grow in public repair, we are looking to add another mechanic to our team. We service a variety of trucks and trailers.

Warmer weather is on the way, but it is still winter. Make sure you are still treating your fuel and/or running a winter mix in your truck. We had multiple calls today for trucks that had gelled up.
While we are glad to come and help you out, putting the right fuel in your truck and treating it with an additive will save you a trip from our service truck. The last place you want to be is on the side of the road when your filter looks like this.

Did you know that all diesel fuel contains wax? Most diesel fuel users don’t, until cold weather strikes.

Cold temperatures cause wax crystals to fall out of liquid solution, producing a thick, yellow waxy gunk that builds up on your fuel filter. Once coated, this gunk will plug your filter and make it impossible to pump, preventing fuel from reaching your engine. This leads to engine failure and expensive breakdowns.

Using a preventative diesel fuel additive will keep your fuel fluid & you on the road where you belong.
