Well this is gonna be fun. 🤩

Please remember, it’s not about sliding in the ditch or getting stuck. It’s the fact that the plows can’t clear the roads if your car is stuck in the snow drift or if you’re hurt or need help then it will take a considerable amount of time for someone to come to your rescue.

From mild to wild we do it all. Unfortunately this engine failed and needed to be replaced.

It’s not a simple job anymore. Most cases for cars and suv’s needing the subframe/engine/transmission to be lowered/removed from the under side of the vehicle for replacement

FYI hwy 27 is closed at the round about in Cashton. Hwy 27 is un passable at this time. Please do not head that direction believing you will be able to make it.

UPDATE road is back open. But with this wind and snow/ice please drive with an abundance of caution ⛔️

A word of advice. Bleeder screw always goes up, therefore the trapped air in the brake system can get bled out . This circumstance shows the caliper upside down, causing trapped air to settle naturally towards the top and causing a very soft brake pedal. This unfortunately was an incorrect part. Meant for the passenger side of the rear axle, installed on the drivers.

Today is a great day for our family. 1 year ago today our oldest son, Myles was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. I don’t often post a lot of “family” stuff
On my business page, but thought today was needed.

Two things

1. My family is so incredibly thankful for all our customers and family friend that allow me to leave at a moment notice to run to school to swap out a failed dexcom, omnipod or a doctor appt. I truly couldn’t run a successful business without you all.

2. Supporting small businesses is why my wife and i can have the freedom to support him whenever it is needed and without my great customer base, nothing would be possible. So thank you very much 😃 please know it means the world to me when you choose our businss to help with your repairs

Myles is thriving with T1D he averages over 10,000 steps a day, active and healthy, his A1C is averaging 6.7. He is the toughest kid I know. Middle of the night lows, constant finger pokes, not being able to eat what every other 9 year old wants to eat, having to change a pump and sensor every 3 & 10 days. I could go on forever. The uphill fight T1D has on him and our family is steep some days but we continue to choose to win the fight.

HOUSTON we have a problem .

07 Kia Sportage 2.7 v6 only 70k miles.

Never had a timing belt replacement. It always ran fine 🤷‍♂️ until it didn’t…..

Sometimes on vehicles that don’t get driven a lot, the mileage interval for replacement gets trumped by its age. This car is 19 years old. The Timing belt is rubber and has deteriorated over time and unfortunately broke in the last cold snap. Being an interference engine, It’s pistons made contact with the valves and lead to a no start complaint.

Here is cylinders 2,4&6 compression values.

This is a great example of having someone knowledgeable changing your engine oil and recommending routine maintenance. (I happen to know a guy 🤷‍♂️🤘)

A few hundred dollar timing belt replacement would save you a couple thousand dollar engine replacement bill.

Cold weather can’t stop us 🥶 -27 below Friday night. Had an individual try the method of thinning his blood with alcohol to try to keep from freezing….. Unfortunately the 5-0 caught up with him and we towed his car to safety

Sometimes it’s quality over quantity. I am the only employee, therefore you can count on your vehicle being repaired right the first time. Simple things like torquing the cv axle nut instead of just hammering it tight with an impact to prolong the life of the wheel bearing and also not void the warranty.
