The Shootout

10/09/2026

Last year, I got this DM on my personal account. I did not realize that you guys miss us most of the year. So I will be starting promotions earlier for 2027!

Edit:
The Shootout never thought or has stated Wild in the Valley maliciously chose the dates for their event. Nick has supported the shootout for years and the owner of IDRC has publicly stated in the past that we wish to have him back at the event in the future. There is NO ill feelings between the events.

Nick and I have talked. Nobody is deleting messages. This post was never meant to be malicious in any way. It was supposed to be a lighthearted joke about how everyone complains we don’t promote soon enough and we are starting promotion very early. This is no secret, we see the comments talking about promotion.

We understand that people are going to take things and spin their own narrative just as it’s happened here. It is what it is, but we wanted to clear the air to the best of our ability.

At the end of the day, the court of public opinion will think what they want. People will spin whatever they want but as for the shootout and wild in the valley, we’re good.

Thanks

For those wondering how the remaining trophies were decided:
I went off who was in the final elimination round and their qualifying position, after discussing it with David Buschur and the owner of DSport. We all felt it was the fairest way to handle it.

Could racing have changed the outcome? Absolutely, but there would have been no way for me to guess that outcome.

The original plan was to just not award the trophies at all and throw them out since no one actually won, but we figured we might as well do something nice with them. We could have just thrown them out or kept them and told my family who knows nothing about racing I cleaned house this year at the event LOL.

I went off of the data and the sheets that were sent to me to come up with the results.

Now, I work for the event but not at the event because I have other priorities at the event. I was unaware of what was said in the guest service office or what was already determined so any confusions I apologize. I know there are some trophies already handed out and I can not change that.

I just want to say congrats. I know not everyone got a trophy but to my knowledge all the pots were split to everyone who was left in the class.
