If you own a Holden Colorado or Trailblazer 2012 and up.
The automatic transmissions torque converter is having a fair bit of drama.
Symptoms get be described as hitting a cattle grid, or surging in some cases. Usually over 60kph.
This is due to a failed converter clutch friction lining. As a result of issues within the transmissions valve body, causing premature failure of the friction lining.
Ron Hill Automatics is repairing these vehicles by replacing/reconditioning the torque converter and repairing of the valve body.
There are also heavy duty converter options available, for the serious tow vehicles.
