Been a while since we have updated this page, but we have been working a lot lately.

To start, just before the snow hit, we located a MG B donor car. We started stripping it, but didn’t get too far before the snow buried it.

But over the last few months, we finished up the framework, installed new rear mini tubs, removed and built a new trunk floor, cut the rear quarter panels off and mocked up the new ones from the donor car. Then modified the new doors a little by welding up the door locks and installing crash bars.

After talking with the owner, we definitely are going the restomod route. We all have some great ideas and trying to trying to incorporate them all and stay on a budget.

Been a while since this has been updated, but we have been busy!

First, the MG now has wheel tubs! The originals were just too far gone to save, we also did start making a filler panel for behind the seats. And today the owner scored a donor car. That will help save some time and money.

Plus the jeep project has been completely disassembled, rust and dents repaired and has started going back together. Panels have been primed, block sanded and primed again.

And of course we have another project too. This time it’s a jeep wrangler.

Owner wants it upgraded to a lighter green and the trim blacked out. We stripped it down in about 6 hours. And as usual, there is always hidden issues. Drivers floor needs repair bad!

Couple quick updates on the MG project. Floor has been removed to expose the fact that the original unibody supports were completely rusted out. So we upgraded it to a custom frame.

It now ties the rear spring perchs to the front frame horns. We also added cross supports in the center as well as over the rear axle to keep everything tight to eliminate some body flex. The center cross over a removable center section for transmission or driveshaft service. We also included rounded cut outs for the exhaust, brake and fuel lines and a smaller cut out for the wiring harness .

Next up, new mini tubs and flooring.

New project! New issues!!

1971 MG B, came in 2 weeks ago for new doors and small rust repair. Sadly, there is more rust than repair. And as we started stripping it down, it just kept giving us new surprises.

We are gonna save as much as we can, some panels will need to be replaced, some fabricated, and some just will need to be rebuilt from scratch.

Didn’t get many pics, but for the last week we had a complete detail on a return customers 1984 Porsche 911 turbo slant nose.

Wet sanded and buffed the body, polished, waxed and ceramic coated. Wheels cleaned, polished and ceramic coated. Engine bay and under front hood cleaned and vacuumed. Interior was cleaned, vacuumed, disinfected, leather was conditioned and then wiped down with detail spray.

Owner was really happy with the results and the car is headed to Hilton Head Concours this week.

This past week we had a Porsche in the shop.

Full paint correction, polish, wax and ceramic coat on the body. Wheels scrubbed and ceramic coated. Interior scrubbed, conditioned and detailed. A lot of work, but the customer was ecstatic!

Did a little custom hood stripe to match the rear emblem done by the customers wife. Gave it a quick touch up and a wash too.

This weekend project was installing a 3.5” lift kit in a 2022 Silverado. With the shop full, had to do it in the driveway. Rain was not as bad as we thought, kinda kept the heat down. But BOY! Did we get soaked!!!!

This 1984 Trans Am has been a long term project! It finally made its way back to us for a few touch ups and to have some other things finished up.

Over the last 2 weeks we fitted, painted and installed the front ground effect, secured the side and rear ground effects, cleaned and ceramic coated the wheels, finished and painted the custom side view mirrors. Painted the rear spoiler pedestals and installed the rear spoiler.

Now it’s back to the owner for the interior to be finished up. Once the car is complete we will get it back for a final wet sand, buff, polish and ceramic coat.

Last week we had a quick touch up job that turned into repainting the calipers and cleaning and ceramic coating the wheels.
