Back by popular demand… so many guys ask us what we work on besides manufacturing. Bringing back trucks of the week we used to do years ago. Here’s some of the rigs that have been through the shop here the last few weeks!

2017 L5P in for emissions repairs, 2020 L5P in for a replacement 10 speed transmission, 2006 6.0 for engine oil cooler, 2008 LMM for an RDS 750 transmission, 2005 LLY for heads gaskets/studs and an RDS prostock turbo and a 2015 Chevy for an RDS 550 transmission all the way from New Mexico!

We are looking for a diesel mechanic to join our team! You will be responsible for accurately diagnosing and repairing various vehicles such as GM Duramax Diesels, Ford Powerstrokes, Dodge Cummins applications. We do work on some medium duty trucks such as F650-F750 trucks, Freightliner and International trucks.

Responsibilities:
☑️Repair trucks, and other motor vehicles/trailers
☑️Perform routine vehicle maintenance
☑️Use diagnostic tools to test vehicle components
☑️Perform quality inspections prior to returning the vehicle to the customer
☑️Major engine over haul, such as head gaskets, injectors, injection pumps, turbos

Qualifications:
☑️Previous experience as a diesel mechanic (2yr minimum)
☑️Knowledge of shop equipment
☑️Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
☑️Deadline and detail-oriented
☑️Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
☑️Must have own tools. Shop will provide scan tools/specialty tools

Please read... Boost leak testing PSA

Over the last several months we have been tracking an issue with customers having problems with boots leaking, which prematurely fails their turbocharger. Below is a video that we've put together showing the issue at only HALF of the manufacture specified pressure. Imagine how bad this leak is once at the full testing pressure. Generally, you can only see this issue visually using soap and water. However, we did have one truck that would make a high pitched whistling noise. Now imagine having a louder turbine and exhaust, the customer was never able to hear it. Please take the time to inspect your truck and avoid this happening to you. You should keep 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐨𝐮𝐬 pressure running through the system to the correct psi specification while spraying all your boots. Any leaks or boots looking like what is in the video we strongly advise replacing them to avoid a failure happening to you. If you have questions regarding this please feel free to reach out to us.

**UPDATE OCT 2024 this video has gained a bunch of traction online. We've heard from one larger manufacture that did find defects in their boots and took action. One thing to point out, customers that called in to talk to us about this assumed this would happen within 50 miles of install. That is not the case. This is something that takes 4-9k miles on average - a slow failure over time. We are glad this video has reached so many and hope that it continues to help both current and future customers**
