The foundation of airflow matters.

The PPE Lower Intake Manifold Kit for the 2004.5-2010 GM 6.6L Duramax is built from durable A356.0-T6 aluminum with 50% thicker walls for added strength, durability, and heat resistance.

For LLY applications, the larger 32% inlet design helps support improved airflow.

Factory mounting locations are retained, and CNC-machined gasket grooves help create a tight seal.

Strong airflow starts before the air ever reaches the top of the engine.

What makes us smile? This.

If you’re a gearhead, you understand. A clean new part, a fresh build, and the satisfaction of seeing everything come together.

Some people see parts. We see possibilities.
What makes you stop scrolling at a truck show?

Your transmission might be running hotter than you think.

Towing, hauling, steep grades, and added power all create more transmission heat.

For the 2006 to 2010 6.6L Duramax, the PPE Bar and Plate Transmission Cooler increases cooling capacity with a 209 cubic-inch core that is 106% larger than stock.

It also has an 18% larger frontal area and dense louvered fins to improve heat transfer.

PPE reports temperature drops of up to 40°F under demanding conditions.

If you work your truck hard, transmission temperature is one number worth watching.

Small part. Big difference in engine bay cleanup.

The factory oil filler tube can add unnecessary length and clutter to a performance-focused Duramax engine bay.

The PPE Engine Oil Fill Delete Plug replaces it with a compact billet aluminum plug designed for high-performance applications. It is CNC machined, includes a Viton O-ring, and is commonly used alongside the PPE Duramax Dry Sump Pan.

A clean engine bay is often the result of paying attention to the details.

Normal people see truck parts. We see works of art.

Some people collect shoes.

Some people collect watches.

We apparently collect opinions about engines and truck parts.

Cooling systems. Turbochargers. Intake components. Filters. Differential covers.

If it bolts onto a truck, chances are we’ve spent way too much time talking about it.

Maybe we love this stuff a little too much.

Actually, never mind. There is no such thing.

The differential may be out of sight, but it is working hard.

On the 2019-2026 GM GMCH 9.5-inch 12-bolt SU8 axle, heat can accelerate fluid breakdown and component wear.

The PPE cast aluminum cover adds:
• 0.57 quart of additional fluid capacity
• 1/2-inch cooling fins for heat dissipation
• Internal windage scrapers to reduce fluid churning
• Cross-bracing for added structural strength
• Cast-in gussets for additional fl**ge support
• Magnetic service plugs to capture ferrous particles

The goal is simple: better fluid control, and a stronger differential cover.

That rust isn’t just ugly. It can become a coolant leak.

The OEM 6.6L Duramax coolant tube uses mild steel, which is prone to rusting over time and can eventually leak.

The PPE replacement uses 304 stainless steel construction and a heavy-duty fl**ge, designed to prevent the corrosion that affects the factory tube.

A small cooling system component can become a big headache when corrosion gets the upper hand.
Check those tubes when you’re already doing cooling system work.

Your intercooler can only cool as well as the system cooling its coolant.

15 to 30 second script:
“The 3.0L Duramax uses an air-to-liquid intercooler, so there’s another heat exchanger doing some serious work behind the scenes.

When you’re towing or running hard in high temperatures, the stock heat exchanger can become heat saturated.
This PPE unit has a 20% larger core, 18.5 FPI fins, optimized coolant flow, and 15% lower pressure drop than stock.
The goal is simple: move more heat out of the intercooler coolant and keep the charge-air cooling system working efficiently.”

That rust isn’t just ugly. It’s a warning sign.

The OEM mild steel coolant tube on the 6.6L Duramax can corrode over time, eventually leading to leaks.

The PPE replacement is built from 304 stainless steel with a heavy-duty fl**ge to resist the corrosion that can affect the factory tube.

A small coolant tube can play a big role in keeping the cooling system sealed and doing its job.

Factory tie rods can become the weak link when the truck starts seeing serious abuse.

The PPE Forged XR Tie Rods for 2001 to 2010 GM 2500/3500 Duramax trucks are designed for extreme-duty use such as off-roading and sled pulling, while also serving as a heavy-duty replacement when the factory plastic ball joint seats are worn.

The difference is in the construction. These tie rods use extreme-duty forged steel, a 32 mm outer tie rod ball stud, an extra-wide ball joint neck, and a 1.6-inch forged outer tie rod body that is 50% larger than stock. The 3/4-inch inner tie rod threaded shaft helps create a more secure connection between the inner and outer tie rods while the forged outer body helps resist bending and deformation.

They also preserve the factory articulation angle, include siliconized rubber boots, and have an integrated grease fitting. Each tie rod comes pre-greased for installation.
For trucks running larger tires or spending time off-road, steering components take a lot of abuse. Strengthening that connection can be an important part of keeping the front end dependable.

Mechanic takeaway: If you are already replacing worn factory tie rods, take a close look at the size and construction of the replacement. That is where the difference matters.
