Rising through the national ranks from the mid‑90s, this Legend quickly became one of the most feared and respected young competitors on the circuit. Matt Bartosek earned back‑to‑back national championships in the 90cc Modified class (1998 & 1999) and was honored as ATVSport Magazine’s “Most Feared Youth Rider of the Year” in 1999. His talent wasn’t just raw speed-he carried a sportsmanship that earned him the Randy Howard Memorial Award in 2000.

By 2002, Matt had completed his first year in the Pro class, finishing just five points outside the top ten...a sign of the career that was unfolding. He also helped secure second place in the first-ever ATV 12 Hours of America in Iowa, proving his spot in one of the sport’s toughest formats.

His family, friends, and the racing world came together to create 88 Live to Ride, a foundation dedicated to rider safety, scholarships, and community support - ensuring Matt’s passion continues to lift the community as an advocate and support for riders. We honor Matt for the rider he was and the impact he still has. Every lap turned in his honor keeps #88 alive in the dirt, in the stories, and in the hearts of those who race.
