Erik's Auto Body is looking to fill the role of a main service writer. You would be the crucial link between customers and technicians, greeting customers, understanding their vehicle issues, translating those needs into work orders, providing cost estimates, and keeping customers updated on repair progress. You would manage the repair process from start to finish, explaining necessary repairs, getting approval for extra work, and ensuring a smooth customer experience by handling communication and paperwork.

•Diagnostics & Documentation: Perform vehicle walk-arounds to note existing damage and accurately record customer needs and vehicle information.

•Communication: Explain repair needs, costs, and timelines to customers and relay detailed instructions to technicians.

•Estimates & Approvals: Provide cost estimates and get customer/insurance approval for any additional work needed.

•Workflow Management: Create repair orders, dispatch work to technicians, order parts/check in parts and keep customers informed of status.

•Closing Out: Review completed work and charges with the customer upon pickup.

•Customer Interaction: Greet customers, listen to their concerns, and build trust.

Essential Skills:
•Strong communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills.
•
Problem-solving and customer service abilities.

•Basic math skills for calculating costs and percentages.

•Attention to detail and well organized

•Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and be on your feet for long periods of time.

•Must be a self driven, motivated individual who can work well alone and with a team.

•Work in a fast paced, growing environment.

•Willingness to learn new skills and take on more tasks as needed.

Experience :
High school diploma or equivalent. Management or supervising experience. Qualified candidates need at least 3 years experience as an estimator and or service writer, familiar with CCC One estimating software, Collison link and corresponding with insurance companies.

No matter the challenge we are up for it. This bus was no cake walk. When we began repairs the inner structure was severely damaged so after some bend here and weld here it came out great!! Just in time to get back to work for the school year
