Just like us, your car battery hates the cold. Follow these tips to prevent dead batteries this winter.
1.) Check the age of your battery. If it is 4-5 years old, it may be nearing the end of its life.
2.) Pop your hood and clean off any corrosion (white powder) that you may see around the battery. It increases resistance and causes your battery to work harder than it needs to.
3.) When turning on your car, wait a few minutes before turning up the heat, radio, lights, and chargers, to allow your alternator to charge your battery before you add strain to it.
4.) Come see us to get your battery looked at before it is too late. Ignorance is not bliss
