How to get the most out of your storage space:
1. Plan it out- before loading your unit plan out where your items will go. Be sure to have the items you might need access to at the front of the space for ease. Also protectyour items by placing a plastic cover on the floor or use pallets for absorption. Uniform boxes help make the most out of your storage space by preventing unstable stacks and labeling them well will help when trying to find something in the unit during storage and also when you are unpacking.
2. Maximize Your Space and Stability- while most units are 8ft tall inside, ours are 10ft allowing you to stack high vertically and make the most out of your space. Be sure to space the heavier items at the bottom of the stack with the lighter items at the top. Take apart furniture like bed frames, headboards, and tables to save space. Store screws and parts in labeled ziplock bags and tape to the items they belong to. You can also utilize your vertical space by stacking long furniture like sofas and cabinets on their sides.
3. Protect Your Belongings- Protect your furniture with proper slip covers, sheets, or moving blankets. Do not use sealed plastic wraps for long term storage as trapped moisture can cause damage. Be sure to defrost refrigerators and freezer completely before storing and prop the door open to prevent unwanted odors.
