A New Chapter for a Norman Tradition
For over 42 years, the building at 521 N Porter Ave has been a cornerstone of automotive care in Norman.
It all started in 1984 when Leon Pierce opened after Reynolds Ford relocated their body shop. Leon and Ann poured their hearts into the business, building a reputation for uncompromising quality, outstanding customer service, and deep community roots. They retired in April 2010, but their support and encouragement never faded.
That same year, Philip stepped in to carry the torch, transitioning the shop with the blessing of its founders. Long-time painter Randy—who had been working in that very building since the Reynolds Ford days—stayed on. Through facility upgrades and many changes, Randy adapted and remained one of Norman’s most respected automotive painters. The mutual respect between Randy and Philip grew into a strong partnership.
In 2015, Philip expanded with the purchase of Brookhaven Automotive on the west side, rebranding it as PROFIX Auto Repair. His son, Philip Jr., worked his way up at Leon Pierce and took over management and operations in 2018, continuing the family-driven commitment to excellence and allowing Philip Sr. to focus on growing PROFIX.
Now, in March 2026, we’ve completed our planned transition: Leon Pierce Body Repair has officially ceased body and paint services after 42+ years at this location. We are fully pivoting the east side location to specialize in mechanical repair, maintenance, diagnostics, and excellence in automotive service — all under the PROFIX name.
While body repair services have come to a close, familiar faces remain in the office and in the shop. Randy will also continue with us in a new role focused on customer service and quality control, bringing his decades of experience to ensure we maintain the high standards our customers expect.
This evolution allows us to serve our community even better with the mechanical expertise and care that PROFIX is known for.
