We brought 4 cars this year to Hershey!! Three are new offerings (unlisted) the 1916 Pierce-Arrow coupe and 1930 Packard 740 convertible coupe and 1939 Buick convertible sedan, in addition to the 1962 Austin Healey 3000 with a now reduced asking price. Simko Motorcars is fortunate to have a wonderful team to make this happen.

-The 1931 Bugatti Type 37 Grand Prix Car, affectionally know as the “scrambling egg” raced in ARCA, rightfully won the Dr. Simeone award, for the car Dr. Fred Simoeone would most likely want to take home. Powered by a Ford model B engine installed in 1935 and has remained there since!!

-1935 Old Grey Mare, also a famous ARCA race car. Assembled using components from roughly 19 different junkyard vehicles, including a Whippet chassis, a Bugatti tail, and a Ford flathead V8 engine and running gear. The “Poor Man’s Mercer”. Incredibly successful race car into the 1950s where it continued to dominate hill climbs before vanishing into a barn. Rediscovered in the mid-1990s and brought back to life by Sandy Leith and Ben Bragg. Pleasantly took 2nd in class.

The Duesenberg marque rightfully so making at Headlines from the Concours field to the auction block this year!!

The collector car world’s top prize, Best of Show at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, was awarded today to a Duesenberg SSJ originally owned by Clark Gable. The 75th celebration also reached a major milestone, surpassing $50 million in total charitable giving.

This year, 218 cars—including 33 international entries from 14 countries and 185 US entries from 30 states—pulled onto the competition field. The winning 1935 Duesenberg SSJ Special Speedster was shown by Harry Yeaggy of Cincinnati, Ohio. 🏆
