1969 Chevrolet 396 SS

It is painted a chevrolet pickup color. It was a 2 1/2 year build. He finished it two months prior to winning the award! It is a Frame-Off restoration with an FX racing kit on frame that is also boxed. He had bought the car in 1992 and had it stored away. The body only has 34,000 original miles. It is powered by a Muncie 4-speed with a Hurst completion shifter. It has Electric cutouts for exhaust, and also has a fully built engine that was built by the owner, Bill. It is a 396 bored out .60.

The truck has a 1995 body, with a 1997 Frame and Drivetrain. It was in a tornado in 2024, where a two post lift crushed the body. Colton bought an Eddie Baer body and put it on the frame, and switched all the wiring himself. It was finished on July 27th, 2026.
It was a 2 year process from start to finish!

Restoration was done 20 years ago, all original, Battle Creek owned. It had a 327 engine. Mike has owned the car for four amazing years.

Has has an all aluminum v8 215 cu in. engine and the transmission was only made for one model year that is dual-Path air cooled. Another fun fact is that there is only one bolt that holds the transmission pan. He has owned it for 10 years, it was restored prior to ownership and he Touched up the chrome himself

It might be the only Buick special in the U.S.!

Larry did his own body work and it it amazing! They have been married for 62 years, what an accomplishment. The El Camino has been in the Norfolk area for its entire life, but Larry is the second owner.

Duane has owned this car since it was brand new! He bought it from Jim Earp in July of 1973. He drove it during college and his honey moon! It was repainted in 1983 and has been completely taken care of since then.
