We are looking for EXPERIENCED Auto/Heavy Duty Service Writers to join our growing team! MUST BE A TEAM PLAYER!
Must have experience with service writer duties, office work & must have multi-tasking skills. Must be DETAIL ORIENTED and have valid Drivers License - CDL & State Inspectors License is a PLUS!
Hours are Monday - Friday 7am-5pm - NO WEEKENDS -

Responsibilities of the service writer include but are not limited to:
Prior experience in automotive/truck/heavy duty service writing required
Working knowledge of basic car functions, characteristics, and operations
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals
Valid driver's license with 2 or fewer moving violations in the last 5 years
Basic MS Office knowledge; computer software, internet proficiency, and general mathematic skills
Greet customers, sell needed work, write repair orders and estimate cost of repairs as required.
Schedule work and assign to service mechanics by creating work orders.
Check and review work in process, and follow up for completion as scheduled.
Handle customers' phone inquiries regarding completion of their vehicles.
Order parts for service repair, accept & sign for parts, create & close PO's
Mail, email or fax invoices, receipts, etc . . .. to customers as needed
Pick up/drop off vehicles (must have valid Drivers License)
Provide professional communication responses thru email to customers as needed
Take and process payments for customers, provide them with a receipt as necessary
Provide follow up on any emails initiated with customers
Give estimates of parts and labors using our network of vendors, database & different programs
Ensure that all necessary information pertaining to warranty and policy claims is obtained and recorded on the Repair Order. Ability to understand, communicate, and evaluate all vendor and warranty guidelines
Receive payments - Contact & receive prior & final approval from leasing companies
Keeping a team atmosphere with employees.
Uphold the rules and policies of the company
Required Experience: -Must have at least 2 years (verifiable) of experience in service/office setting, advising and service writing for auto repair facility - Be team oriented: you are working closely with a team which composes of yourself, a service manager and the technicians. Having good relations with your team members ensures efficiency and creates a good work environment - Be customer service oriented: Must have a positive attitude & show our customers that we appreciate their business. -Must be able to multi-task in a fast paced environment -Must have valid driver's license and clean driving record -Previous industry knowledge -Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information -Sales experience -Excellent verbal and written communication skills -Professional appearance and write legibly -Must have computer knowledge, and be detail oriented.
