Well guys, it's been a great six years. I learned a lot, grew in so many ways, and I'm proud to have earned your trust and your business. We can all feel change in the air right now, and for me that means closing the doors on the Fuller Auto Solutions brand. I'll now be joining Belk Mobile Detailing full time tinting windows with the same care you've grown accustomed to. (Although now you might have better luck getting someone to answer the phone!)

Why do window tinters hate Rain X? 🤔

SUMMARY:

Do not use Rain X on the inside of your automotive glass.

FULL ANSWER:

A solution of soapy water is used to apply the window film, it keeps the film from sticking to the glass before it's in position. Once the film is in position, the slippery water is squeegeed out and the adhesive is activated.

When Rain-X or other hydrophobic products are mistakenly applied to the inside of the glass, our 'slip solution' of surfactant water won't stay on the glass, causing the window film to stick to the glass prematurely and causing installation difficulties.

You might ask why would someone apply Rain X to the inside of their window? Well, I don't know why people do a lot of things, but they do.

I just tinted this BMW 5 Series with my latest window film offering, Geoshield C2 Carbon.

What's great about this film?

Performance: In darker shades like what you see here it has comparable performance to a ceramic film, at a much lower price tag.

Longevity: This film comes with a lifetime warranty and has been on the market for years with a great track record.

Cost: I'm offering this film at 250 for standard coverage on a sedan. Compare that to 400+ for a ceramic tint job, with similar heat blocking capabilities in dark shades!

Ah, did I mention it comes in an extra dark shade? That's right, if 5% isn't dark enough for you, this film comes in 2% as well.

Hoping for ceramic window tint but can't justify the cost?

I'm now offering a Carbon window tint option for 249 on most four-door vehicles. In the darker shades, it has comparable heat rejection to a Ceramic film. (In lighter shades, the ceramic film is still the way to go.)

So if you're looking for dark windows with good heat rejection, the Carbon option is a great alternative to a Ceramic tint at a much lower price, and still comes with a lifetime warranty.

Hey guys, hope you're staying warm as we wrap up this winter weather. Soon the cold will be gone and the warm months will be back, and we'll all be thankful for our tinted windows, lest the sun melt us into a sweaty, gelatinous puddle.

This 2025 GMC Sierra Denali just left the shop with my Geoshield ProNano Ceramic window film all around. Looks great, feels great, and the price is great too.
