With great sadness, The Nicholasville Fire Department announce the loss of retired Chief Charles “Bubba” Brumfield. In loving memory of Chief Brumfield , we are saddened to announce his passing on August 1,2021. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family. A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered.

Officers have located a vehicle that we believe was involved in the hit and run. Thank you all for sharing and providing assistance. We will update as more information becomes available.

Police Need Your Help in Finding Hit and Run Suspect

Last night at around 3 am officers responded to a US 27 just prior to Brannon Rd. for a pedestrian that appeared to have been struck by a motor vehicle. The adult male individual that had been struck passed away from the injuries sustained.

During the investigation officers found evidence that had been left behind from the vehicle that had struck the pedestrian. We need your help in locating the suspect vehicle in this hit and run collision.

We are looking for a 2010-2014 Landrover Lr4 Discovery that is black. This vehicle should have front drivers side damage as well missing the drivers side mirror.

If anyone has any information or possibly witnessed this collision please notify us via messenger, comments or call dispatch at 859 887-5447.
