Located in beautiful Newton, NC, Hickory Motor Speedway is known as the 'Birthplace of the NASCAR Stars' and 'America's Most Famous Short Track'. It was Ned Jarrett who coined the phrase 'Birthplace of the NASCAR Stars' as some of the biggest names in auto racing got their start at the nostalgic facility. Drivers such as Ned & Dale Jarrett, Ralph Earnhardt, Bobby Isaac and Dennis Setzer call Hickory Motor Speedway home after starting their careers on the historic short track.
