Ryan was asked to join a team for his first endurance event recently. The boys took turns running a six hour race at Club Motorsports. They started third overall, ended up finishing 11th out of 28, 6th in their class. A great effort from the team, the dads learned a lot too. There’s plenty more strategy involved than some of us realized, but lots to take forward with us for the next time.

The boys had another NHKA Racing Series race on Sunday. The weather was beautiful once again and the karts were fast.

Tyler had his first laps driving the track in this direction and really handled it well. I was worried he would take turn one too slow in the braking zone and I think it was the complete opposite. He apparently likes to brake late and hard, just what that corner needs. He qualified 12th and brought it home in 11th. Another clean race with no mistakes and no damage.

Ryan was quick all day, he really enjoys the direction for the race. He qualified 3rd, stayed with the lead group and finished 4th. He also managed to go purple in the race and had the fastest lap of the day in Junior, as well as a personal best. The wins are coming, we’re getting dialed in closer every time we race.

An amazing weekend, great weather, great people and great racing from everyone. Thanks to all our supporters, and everyone that helped out at the track.

The boys had race #5 today with the NHKA Racing Series. Tyler had a solid day running his second Cadet race. He continued to improve all day, and qualified 9th out of 15 drivers. He had a clean start to the race, ran all the laps and finished in 9th place. A great drive for him, valuable experience. Ryan had solid day as well, consistently running in the front pack all day. Qualifying put him in 7th for the race, he had a great drive but not quite enough to challenge for the podium. He finished in 6th from a field of 22, earned himself good points for the championship and had a lot of fun.

The weather today could not have been any nicer for racing in the New Hampshire summer. A beautiful day, and we’re going to do it all again tomorrow, just in the opposite direction. It was nice having some of our friends and family from home to visit too.

We had another amazing time at the NHKA Racing Series Kartmania this weekend. Although Saturday was cut short due to rain, Sunday was a perfect summer day for racing. Tyler took to the track in Cadet class for the first time. He was keeping up in practice, and driving well all weekend. He qualified 10th out of 17 and turned it into an 8th place finish on Sunday. He did amazing and loved every minute. Ryan finally had the chance to run the whole road course this year. He was fastest in practice on Sat, and qualified on the front row in 2nd for the race. A slight mistake on Sunday separated him just enough from the front karts and because the draft is so strong here, he wasn’t able to catch them. He did drive great, and finished in 4th, a strong showing. We had a blast, and even managed to win the pit decorating contest. The theme this year was decades, so we went way back to the 1770’s. So much fun, can’t wait for August’s races. Thanks to the NHKA staff for putting on a great event.

Special thanks also to Carpy's Print Co., that orange kart is easy to spot from a distance, and looks good up front. Also to Snap Ya Neck Racing, we had all the power to set the pace on a track that’s full throttle all the way.

Our 4th of July 🇺🇸 Cup Karts East race was a wild one today. From dry to wet, to dry again to extremely torrentially wet, we got a lot of racing in. Ryan finished 4th and 3rd in the heats, but ended up 5th in a wet and shortened final. Tyler, in his first official race debut, finished 7th and 4th in the heats, and drove to 3rd in the final! His first podium, and on a very wet track too. A great day with our team Spa Speed friends, doing what we love. Happy 250th America. Keep racing 🏁

The boys took a lot of laps today in the heat here in NY. Tyler ran his first sessions with the Cup Karts East series. He’s running kid kart for the weekend, driving all three days, making his official race debut. Ryan is running in the Sportsman class once again. Really enjoying the winding turns and elevation of this track. Practice went great for both of them, cut a little short due to lightning. The heat was nearly unbearable, one of the hottest days we’ve ever endured at the track. Tomorrow will bring two heat races followed by the final, and hopefully cooler temps.

A perfect New Hampshire day made for a great NHKA race today. Race 2 went amazing for the boys. Tyler turned a ton of laps with the kid kart group. This will be his last weekend running this division, next month he moves up to the real deal racing. Ryan was fastest in practice, qualified on the front row, and finished 3rd. He earned his first podium in just his second junior division race, and had the fastest lap of the race too. The day ran great, the weather was perfect, and we couldn’t have asked for much more. Race 3 is tomorrow and we’ll do it all over again.

Thanks to Kelly and Ryan for running a smooth day of racing. Thanks to our friends at Carpy's Print Co. for making the #53 stand out so well on the track, and also thanks to Snap Ya Neck Racing for the fast motor. Kept us up front and in the hunt all day.

The kids had a chance to practice their skills on a very wet track this morning at Club Motorsports. By lunch the track was dry, the sun was out and it couldn’t have been nicer weather to go fast. Tyler drove a full on Cadet package today for the first time, Natalie as well. They were cooking. Ryan alternated between his two karts, turned about a million laps and could barely hold his head up anymore. So glad the Klepper’s could join us so we weren’t all alone.
