Woke up to a great message this morning. Always a good way to start the day. That said, I wanted to share a little insight into how I approach my business and pricing. Not to shame anyone or stir up drama, just to offer some transparency.
Stationary shops or services that pick up and return your vehicle typically operate within a tight radius. That cuts down on fuel costs and travel time between jobs. For me, when a job requires significant travel like this one, which involved an extra 45-minute drive each way away from where I’d already be working that day it adds real time and expense on my end.
In this case, the total came out to $119, which is about $19 more than what a dealership can reportedly offer. And honestly, that’s okay.
I always encourage people to shop around, compare options, and choose what feels like the best value for their needs and budget. I do my best to keep my prices reasonable and I’m never aiming to be the most expensive option. But like any small business, I also have to make a profit to keep things running.
My goal is to be transparent about what goes into my pricing so you can make the most informed decision possible. And if we don’t agree on price, that’s completely fine! But let’s just be respectful and move on.
