🔧 Tech Tip Tuesday: Brake Fluid—Beyond the Test
As part of our Vehicle Health Inspection, we screen brake fluid for water and copper content. These tests help identify contamination and internal corrosion, but they cannot measure the condition of every protective additive in the fluid.
Because those additives also break down with age, brake fluid may test within acceptable ranges and still be due based on time. That’s why we consider the test results, service history and manufacturer’s interval together. When no interval is specified, we recommend replacing brake fluid every three years.
