N2E TuneUp Race Day. Congratulations to Don Albrecht for taking 1st place in the non spin class. A special Thanks to committee boat Molokai Girl for officiating the race start. Also pictured is the crew of Sapphire that finished the race but didn’t place.

Boat renaming ceremony for Tom Noto’s new 48’ Tayana sailboat. The new name is officially Sapphire after John Marshall performed the ceremony. We had about 50 attendees at the slip behind our club.

Here is your N2E crew for 2025. The Newport to Ensenada racers had a great practice day on the water. The team flew the spinnaker in light winds and were gaining a lot of speed until the sail ripped. The team quickly doused the sail and the put out the jib to keep the boat moving. Everyone on the boat performed well. Next week is the TuneUp race from Newport to Dana Point on Saturday. Be sure to come out and support the team.
