95% of βtunersβ do this wrongβ¦ and this is why! π
Every day, I come across ECU files with terrible calibration. Today, letβs look at an EDC16C34 1.9 TDI (105 HP) with an ARL turbo and upgraded injectors.
π§ Turbo Target: An uneven 3D surface with huge boost βmountains,β while the Fuel MG axis remains untouched.
π§ IQ by MAP: Only the last cell is modified, requesting a flat 60 mg from 1,400 RPM. Another huge mountain, while the boost axis is scaled only to 1 bar, despite the Turbo Target requesting 1.95 bar.
π§ Nm2IQ: Still scaled to the factory 336 Nm, despite the setup potentially targeting 400 Nm or more. The last cell is even reduced to 60 mg for reasons unknown. Because lack of fuel he did massive cheat on duration mapsβ¦
This is not proper calibration. Itβs a perfect example of what happens when someone changes numbers without understanding the logic behind the maps.
Do you want to stay at this level, or actually learn how to tune properly? π
At SCH Motorsport Academy, our courses teach you the logic behind ECU calibration so you can stop guessing and start creating high-quality tunes.
Stop copying values. Start understanding tuning. π₯
