2006 Mercedes-Benz Mclaren SLR
The Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren is a grand tourer jointly developed by Mercedes-Benz and McLaren Automotive, built in
Portsmouth and the McLaren Technology Centre in England. The acronym "SLR"
stands for Sport Leicht Racing, or “Sport Light Racing”. Power comes from a 5 liter supercharged V8 pushing out 617hp and 575lbs/ft of torque. Due to the power,
Mercedes claims that it was forced to select the 5-Speed automatic transmission as the 7-speed could not handle the torque.
Only 1,131 SLRs were ever produced, and this example
is one of just 261 from 2006.
