A year ago I purchased my freedom.
I know that's an odd thing to say, but legit that's what I did. I bought a home, in the middle of no where on 8 acres using my VA loan so I could have access to mobile home park that conveyed with it... for a dollar.
Yes, I bought my mobile home park for a dollar.
Then.... the wtf settled in and I realized I had NO IDEA WHAT TO DO WITH THIS ASSET CLASS. Thankfully, It had 2 active tenants which gave me space to contemplate my pathway forward. Who knew that contemplation would take 12 damn months.
However, a year later I have a plan. A plan that's going to free me from the grind I've been on for the last 12 years.
A plan that will prayerfully launch me down the pathway of creating generational wealth for myself and my family.
So the lessons I learned. Time is going to pass... make the best use of it, even if that best use is sitting down.
Sometimes you have to slow down to speed up. The momentum I have right now is crazy, especially when initially it felt like I was just treading water. Now with the mentors I have in place I'm posed to do more in 3 months then I have done in 12 years.
And lastly, grace. Give it to yourself and others. My investment journey has not been linear and easy is NOT the word I'd use to describe it. I've had people scam me, I've had folks sabotage projects, I've been unmotivated and down trodden... but all of that was necessary to get me here.
So here's to humble beginnings and flamboyant ends!
