Auto Technic

Auto Technic We welcome you to come in and get to know us. Employees had to expertly pilot customer cars through a mind-bendingly compressed parking lot on the premises.

Specialists in European cars, AutoTechnic was founded on the belief that we will continually exceed our customer’s expectations and provide the finest service available. Since its start in 1999, AutoTechnic has been privately owned and is constantly striving to provide the kind of solid, responsive, personalized service that can only come from an independent organization. Jeff Henderson and Rob Dr

iscoll envisioned Auto Technic as a business specializing in the sales and service of BMW and other German makes in the winter of 1999. This fledging new organization soon became well-known for offering a wide variety of carefully selected quality pre-owned BMW and Audi automobiles, while also providing expert service to these and other makes. Though located in a small shop with just one bay door Auto Technic grew steadily over the next three years and soon reached the point that the service appointment book was full weeks in advance. At this time it became perfectly clear; it was time for a bigger location. In July of 2002, Auto Technic purchased its current facility on Route 7 in New Milford, CT. This facility not only included a perfect vehicle display area for used cars, but also boasted ample storage space for customer’s cars. Ever expanding, in 2006 Auto Technic purchased two Commercial condos for long term storage of customers cars and our personal race cars. This facility is located ten minutes south of Auto Technic’s main location. Throughout the growth of Auto Technic, the business has never wavered from its original mission statement; "Deliver high value automotive service and pre-owned vehicles of the highest quality, in a fair and professional manner, and cultivate an environment in which our customers are welcome to become our friends as well." Give us a try; we think you will find our straight forward honest way of doing business refreshing in today's pressure-driven consumer sales environment.

Second place finish for Kevin and Francis! Hard fought run from P5 saw Francis make passes on his opening stint, some great strategy in the pit lane and Kevin’s final positions gained leading to a great team result.

Roland and Stevan started P27 and moved all the way up to P9 overall and 4th in class. A great run and looking for more tomorrow!

Great first race yesterday by both cars. Roland had a tire puncture on the opening laps, but was able to get it back to pit lane where the guys swapped out the wheel without losing a lap. A very fortunate yellow flag bunched up the field giving Roland and Stevan to move the car all the way up to P4 in ProAm

Francis and Kevin had a less dramatic race but moved from 3rd on the grid to P2 by the end of the run. An over-cut attempted gained us some time on the winning Porsche, but in the end just wasn’t enough. We will try again today!

This past GT4 America weekend at COTA has been really hard to put into words. First, thank you to our amazing crew. Not a foot put wrong all weekend transitioning to the 3-hour race format. The 51 car spent the least amount of time on pit lane out of all the competitors and every lap of the race in the top 3. Every stop was perfect.

We had two of the fastest cars in the field all weekend that were on their way to top place finishes.

Unfortunately, the 19 car was taken out of the race by a competitor towards the end of the opening stint. The guys got the car back out on the track, but suffered a puncture on the lap coming to green, and we decided to retire the car and prepare for Sebring.

The 51 car fought for the lead the entire race. Starting on the outside of the front row from a great lap by Francis. We battled with the top 3 throughout the entire 3 hours. Going opposite laps on strategy, helping to gain track position.

Unfortunately, when a door opened late in the race with a pass for the lead, it was quickly closed, and contact was made with the 028. The stewards, post-race, deemed this to be the fault of the 51, and we were handed a hefty 41 second time penalty. This moved the 028 to the lead and the 51 to 5th in class. It’s a call we don’t agree with and are trying to stand up against, but ultimately, we may have to take it and move on to Sebring.

Solid day of official practice. Fishing practice 2 saw both the 19 and 51 near the top, 2nd and 3rd respectively. Big day tomorrow with the 3 hour endurance round ahead. Qualifying kicks off at 12:10 and the green flag drops at 5PM.
