Keep an eye out for something new from the team at Probst Collision! We’re excited to announce the expansion of our services to include PeelClear and Cerakote finishes under the Clear Shield Studio brand.
This vehicle is the very first one we completed with a PeelClear finish — in this case, the entire front end. The vehicle was completely disassembled to eliminate mask lines and create a seamless, edge-to-edge finish with true OEM-level quality.
So, what is PeelClear?
When applied without additional color, PeelClear is essentially a sprayable, buffable alternative to traditional PPF film. The result is a crystal-clear protective finish with no seams, no exposed edges, and no bubbles. If scratches occur, many can be sanded and buffed depending on severity — and either way, your factory paint underneath remains protected and untouched.
One of my biggest concerns was whether the finish would alter the appearance of the original paint, which is exactly why we chose a white vehicle for our first completed project. I’m happy to say it passed even my overly critical inspection with flying colors 😉
Beyond protection, PeelClear also opens the door for complete color changes. And if you decide later that you want a different color — or want to return the vehicle to stock — the finish can simply be peeled away with minimal effort and without messy adhesive residue.
