A little of our history. My Grandfather, Howard Katterheinrich, was a farmer that started doing repair and fabrication on agricultural equipment in the 1960s. He started building equipment to improve his farming operation and trenching business and neighbors soon started asking to have work done as well. As time went on, the shop was enlarged from a 2 car garage size to a 30 x 40 building.My father, Dennis Katterheinrich attended auto/ diesel technical school graduating in 1972. The work in the shop had become more than what Grandpa wanted for a side job and in 1976 Dad took over establishing Katterheinrich Repair. All types of repair and fabrication was done including auto/ diesel,agricultural, welding, machining, building custom pieces of equipment, diesel conversions into gas powered trucks and tractors, and more. My brother Luke and I grew up working on the farm and in the shop learning more from Dad and hands on experience than any school could teach. As a young teenager, I developed a strong interest and passion for 4WDsand any type of custom vehicle. This led to establishing Kat Kustoms in 1996 in order to help others modify and improve their own vehicles. Dad and I worked along side each other with him doing repair work and welding, and I with truck and car modifications. Kat Kustoms, LLC, has become known for the trucks we have built and even though Dad and Grandpa have since passed, we also still provide the agricultural, auto and diesel repair, and welding services they were known for as well.
