Job Summary

Clerks are responsible for ensuring that customers have a positive experience. Clerks may be tasked with handling cash, credit, or debit card transactions including things like snacks, deli items, drinks, to***co products, lottery tickets, etc.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain a well-organized and orderly storefront that aligns with the company’s image.
• Providing customers with fuel, sundries, and deli service options.
• Cleaning the store interior and exterior to include the restrooms, walk-in, trash, cleaning all glass, sweeping and mopping of the general customer area, trash at the pumps, sweeping the entry, cleaning the glass.
• Operate the fueling Point-of-Sale (POS) and regular POS system, accepting cash, credit, debit, and EBT forms of payment, ensure that the correct amount of money is given to customers.
• Restocking with stock rotation shelves with material received from vendors with snacks, drinks, and other items that customers may want to purchase while waiting to refuel their vehicles.
• Explain the various type of fuel available.
• Maintain POS systems, vendor, fuel, and other transactions involving the daily operation of the business.
• Plan, prepare, execute, and operate operations to increase sales, reduce waste, for the betterment of the company while continue to upsell items.
• Always ready for inspections from secret shoppers, executive staff, county, state, and federal officials.

• Ensure food handling and food safety procedures are adhered to; rotate stock, and monitor product temperatures before and after cooking.

• Provides friendly and customer-service-oriented attitude by greeting customers, answering questions, and taking orders by phone and in person.

Trying not to spam your feeds. I, James, messed up and tried to post to New Kent Neighbors - Best Version Media outside of their allowable times. The updates will be on Monday's and one post.

We have Bugle Call Coffee slushy also known as frozen "Frappuccino" or something like that name. Note the disguise, "strawberry?" 🧐😏 We are working on removing those pesky decals without scratching the container.

As we welcome Ms. Brenda, kitchen associate, to our team we are adding to our menu. French Toast sticks and hot coffee hit the spot.

We have more and more grocery items arriving almost daily. James also worked with another distributor to get TruFuel and or VP Racing, 40:1 (green can) and 50:1 (red can). Again saving time from running all the way to Providence Forge, Quinton, or West Point to fuel those small engines.

Hello neighbors! Time for an update...

Please welcome our newest team member, Ms. Brenda, she starts Tuesday, July 25, 2023. She is stepping in to our kitchen. We are excited to continue to bring your favorites, bring back some classics, and introduce new offerings.

As mentioned earlier, we are expanding our grocery options. We have staple kitchen items like bread, hamburger buns, canned vegetables, and sauces. In our refrigerator case, we have milk, eggs, bacon, Launchables, and muffins. In our freezer case we have breakfast burritos, hot pockets, and other quick meal items.

We finally received all of our items to make frozen coffee (Frappuccino). Kaitlyn, started the cold brew today, by noon tomorrow, July 23, 2023 we should have Bugle Call Coffee frozen coffee.

Dave at Kilted Creamery is feverishly preparing ice cream for us. We both had to overcome some regulations, we are passed them! So when Kilted Creamery is closed you can get your small batch, hand packed ice cream from us.

We still carry Jolene Family Winery wines. If you cannot make it to the winery to get a bottle, come see us!

Want Bugle Call Coffee? We have some for you to take home. We are currently carrying Morning Grog and Blue Ridge Mornings.

We are refining our online ordering experience. On the way home from work or an outing, order from our kitchen or from our store items and it will generally be ready for you when you show up. ** ++

Remember, Ms. Kim the hair stylus next door does not except cards, we have an ATM for that.
