We said goodbye to a wonderful, beautiful lady this week. As the song says, "we grieve, but not as others." We have the assurance that we will see her again in Glory in the presence of our father in Heaven.

On the way home from the funeral homeThursday night, I got caught in a little rain. I have glasses similar to these, but they're clear. Well, they're usually clear, but with between rain and my elevated body temperature, the glasses fogged up, making it difficult to see everything in front of me.

Sometimes, the world can do that. The powers and principalities that we fight against will try to obscure our vision so that we can't stay focused on our goal. That is to be more and more like Jesus.

Good anti fog wipes would help with the glasses. Surrounding yourself with Christians who want to be more and more like Jesus will help with the race we're all supposed to be running.

We took three days off this week to attend the Men Arise event in Angola, New York. I thought it would be a great opportunity for The Rukus to get his first "big ride" under his belt. We had a little trouble starting out, and I didn't show him the grace that I talked about last week. The rest of the trip went smoothly.

On the trip, my friend and big brother in Christ acted as road captain. I told Deklan, when in doubt, follow Lucky. That's good advice on the road and in our Christian walk. It's important to surround yourself with good trustworthy people who are a step or two ahead of you in you walk so that they can help guide you to your destination. (Whether it's a campground, or the feet of Jesus.) And guess what, your kids will be helped as well! This week's trip is proof!

This push mower had an interesting symptom. It would run great for about 20 minutes, then shut off. It reminded me of a Harley I fixed years ago. Same symptom, similar fix. Now the owner has some yard work to do.

Oil is very important for any machine. It keeps the internal parts from grinding against each other. We pour oil into the machine to keep the parts from wearing against each other.

God has poured out His grace over us. Often, we as Christians forget all about the grace that God has poured out when we're "wearing against" each other.

What is this mess??? This wheel had a tire that would leak air, so the owner put the old green slime to it in an effort to plug up the leak. The tire still didn't hold air and had to be replaced.

People often think that they're doing "good enough" on their own. If you give your life to the LORD, you'll find out that "good enough" was junk compared to the abundant life and freedom that God promises. Trust me, I'm speaking from experience.

This is one dirty air cleaner! Did the air cleaner clean itself BEFORE it came into the garage? NO! The sxs had to come here to find out about the dirt clogging things up. Only then did it get cleaned out.
