Here is something a lot of trailer owners do not realize: if your rig is sitting in the driveway most of the year, it can be paying for its own storage and then some.

Red Cliffs Storage has 10 spaces set aside specifically for Lone Pine Adventure Hosts. These are the folks who list their trailers through Lone Pine Rentals, and instead of keeping the rig at home between bookings, they store it right here. Well-maintained, secure, easy pickup and drop-off when a rental comes through.

Small spaces start at $60 a month, or $50 a month if you pay a year in advance. Large spaces are $70 a month, or $58.33 a month annually. The annual prepay works out to two months free either way.

If you own a trailer and want to learn more about how the Adventure Hosts program works alongside storage, lonepinerents.com is a good place to start, or go to nephitoys.com to see both sides of it. Storage questions: 435.681.3539.

If you have been waiting for a travel trailer that actually has room for the whole family, Springdale is worth a look.

It is a roomier, family-oriented layout. Not a toy hauler, not a stripped-down weekender. Just a solid travel trailer with the space to make a family trip comfortable instead of cramped.

Springdale is Basecamp-eligible, so if you want the trailer delivered and set up at Sevier River RV Park in Marysvale, that is an option too. No towing required.

$130 a night. Weekly and monthly rates are available as well. Minimum age to rent is 21.

Check dates and book at lonepinerents.com or call 435.681.3026.

Utah hidden gem this week: Miller's Flat Camping Area, tucked in the mountains above Fairview on UT-31 through Huntington Canyon.

It is about 18 miles east of Fairview, which puts it roughly 50 minutes from Nephi. Close enough for a long weekend without a major haul.

The setting is a reservoir framed by the Wasatch Plateau. Fishing, hiking, and access to the kind of mountain scenery that makes you forget your week ever happened. This is a legit Forest Service campground with reservable sites, so it works well for families who want a little structure without the crowds you find at the bigger parks. Open Memorial Day through October, which means September is still prime time.

If you are renting one of our trailers and looking for a Sanpete-Emery area destination you have not done before, this one earns the drive. Details and availability at lonepinerents.com or call 435.681.3026.

We want to give a shoutout to a local business we have been getting to know: Take It Rentals.

Details on exactly how we work together are still coming together, but we know Devon and the team over there are good people doing good work in the rental space. When you find folks who get what it means to run a rental operation well, you take note.

If you need to feed a family or an army and want to work with someone local, go check out Take It Rentals and tell them Lone Pine sent you.

Tip Tuesday: Put a water pressure regulator between the campground spigot and your hose. Every time.

Campground pressure can hit 80 PSI or higher. Most trailer plumbing is rated for 45 to 60. A $15 preset regulator keeps your fittings, water heater, and lines from taking a hit. Thread it onto the spigot first, then connect your hose. Simple fix, real protection.

We love hearing how trips go once families get home.

"We had a great experience renting the Blue Spruce Bunkhouse RV! It was very clean, exactly as described, and everything was ready to go. Communication was excellent from start to finish, and they were friendly and easy to work with. The delivery was convenient. We would definitely rent from them again and highly recommend them!" ~Sierra

If your trailer, boat, or RV is taking up space you need back, Red Cliffs Storage has open-air parking built for exactly that. Spaces are sized for full-size rigs, and the yard is right here in Nephi at 525 W Sheep Lane Rd.

We know the place well. Lone Pine stores our entire rental fleet there, and a lot of our Adventure Hosts do too. When a rig comes back from a booking, it goes to Red Cliffs. It is the first place we point people when they ask about storage in Juab County.

For rates and availability, check redcliffstorage.com or nephitoys.com. Storage questions: 435.681.3539.

Utah hidden gem this week: Plantation Flat Campground, about 6.5 miles east of Oak City in Fishlake National Forest. That puts it roughly an hour west-southwest of Nephi, and most people have never heard of it.

The setting is Ponderosa pine with a small seasonal stream running through. From there you have access to ATV and UTV riding, fishing, hiking, biking, horseback riding, and wildlife watching. The kind of place that does not have a line at the gate, because most people are driving right past Oak City on their way somewhere else.

A few things to know before you go: this is a primitive site. No potable water, no hookups, and it fills on a first-come, first-served basis. Families comfortable with more self-sufficient camping will feel right at home. Families used to full hookups should plan around it. The season runs May through October, with summer being the busiest stretch.

If you are renting one of our trailers and want a destination that feels genuinely off the beaten path, this one is about an hour from Nephi and worth the drive. Details at lonepinerents.com or call 435.681.3026.
