Tip Tuesday. Do this every single time before you pull out of your site.

Do a full walk-around. It takes two minutes and it has saved more trips than you can count.

Here is the order that works:
1. Steps up
2. Antenna down
3. Awning locked
4. Stabilizers up
5. Chocks pulled
6. Cords and hoses stowed

The steps and the awning are the two most common ones people forget. A step left down will get ripped off the first time you pull forward. An awning left unlocked will catch wind on the highway and fold back the wrong way.

Make it a habit before you ever touch the tow vehicle. Same order, every time, every site. You stop thinking and start checking.

The weekend is coming up and if it is already on your mind, this is the time to sort it out.

We have travel trailers available for the coming weekend. Bunkhouses for bigger families, a couple of smaller options if it is just a couple or a small group, and the Basecamp Package if you want the trailer delivered and set up in Southern Utah with no towing on your end. That one puts you at Sevier River RV Park in Marysvale, about 90 minutes from Capitol Reef, Bryce Canyon, and Zion.

Self-pickup is from Nephi. Rates start at $100 a night. The Basecamp Package starts at $1,200 for four nights and covers delivery, setup, full linens, full kitchen, and a welcome s'mores kit. Minimum age to rent is 21.

Two questions we get every week.

Q: What does delivery cost?
Delivery is $50 for the first 30 one-way road miles from Nephi. Each additional one-way mile is $3.50, and a part mile rounds up. That one charge covers delivery, setup, and coming back to collect the trailer. Here is what that looks like in real numbers:
- 30 miles: $50
- 40 miles: $85
- 60 miles: $155
- 100 miles: $295

Q: Can I bring the dog?
We never charge a pet fee. One trailer in our fleet, Red Rock, does not allow pets. Tell us if a dog is coming and we will point you to the right trailer.

Utah hidden gem this week: Kolob Canyons.

Kolob Canyons is a separate district of Zion National Park, reached from Exit 40 on I-15. No shuttle. A fraction of the crowd. A five-mile scenic drive along Kolob Canyons Road runs along crimson canyon walls.

Stop at the Kolob Canyons Visitor Center to show your Interagency Pass or pay the Zion entrance fee before heading in. One thing to know: Kolob Canyons Road can close in winter for snow or ice, so check current conditions with the National Park Service before you make the drive.

For camping, Zion White Bison Campground in Virgin, Utah, is an option nearby. Quail Creek State Park also has RV sites with power and water through Utah State Parks, so reserve ahead on that one.

When something plumbing-related comes up on one of our trailers, 4-D is our go-to. They have been in business since 1952 and are located at 66 S. Main Street. Super friendly and helpful.
