Good Afternoon Comp Racers!

We are a few short weeks from getting back at it. Our next event will be the Double Header in Brainerd, MN Aug 13-16.

Please let us know if you plan to attend as soon as possible so we can ensure everyone gets to park in the proper area. Please provide any extra cars will be in your pit space and if you might require any extra space.

**Since the National Event is the following week, please let me know if you plan on attending that race also. This will help determine where you park in order to not have to move your rig between events.**

After a runner-up finish in Race #1 at Great Bend, Jeff Taylor came back on Sunday and capped off an incredible weekend. He first won the DragInsights Duel in the Lanes, earning a free subscription to the #1 drag racing statistics and analytics platform, then backed it up by taking home the Wally after defeating Race #1 winner Don Thomas in the final round of Race #2.

SRCA in Great Bend, KS has finally returned to the Division 5 schedule. I've heard nothing but great things regarding the new track surface. I'm excited to get back there and check it out in a few weeks. The Double Header event runs from July 9 to July 12th with a Test and Tune available on Wednesday July 8 from 12-6pm. (Note: Parking will be available on Tuesday July 7 from 2-7pm)

I am looking forward to a very solid car count so please let me know if you plan to attend as soon as possible so we can ensure everyone gets to park together.

Although the weather didn't cooperate for the main event, we are happy to crown our first Duel in the Lanes winner of the season.

Sponsored by GPE Competition Starters, the Duel in the Lanes brought together Scott Linder and Pat Nahan who had the two best packages in the first qualifying session (ET & Reaction Time).

After two stellar lights, Nahan had enough in his E/DA to hold off the charging Linder by one hundredth of a second to take home the victory and win a $150 credit toward a new starter from GPE Competition Starters or a repair or rebuild of an existing starter.

In exactly 10 days, we will be kicking off the 2026 season at Tri-State Raceway in Earlville which also means the return on the D5 Comp Bonus Fund.

To all of our sponsors - we wanted to thank you for your support in 2025 on the D5 Comp Bonus Fund. Thanks to your sponsorship and assistance, we were able to pay out $15,000 in race winnings, year-end payouts, and awards to the racers participating in Division 5. Going into 2025, we kept the payout structure very similar to years past to be able to get as much to the racers as possible.

The final top 5 finishers for 2025 were –

We plan to continue the bonus fund in 2026 and hope you will be part of the fund. The sponsorship packages will remain the same as last season with those sponsorship packages as follows -

$500 sponsorship level:
This level will be the same as we did in 2025. Your logo will appear on the brochure provided to the racers and fans, your name will be mentioned at the races over the PA system at divisional events during Competition Eliminator qualifying and/or eliminations, you will be provided with a special “sponsor” decal, and your name will appear on the race recaps after every divisional event posted to insidecompracing.com and the D5 Comp Bonus Fund page.

$1,000 sponsorship level:
This level will have the same benefits as the $500 level, with the addition of a sponsor spotlight on the D5 Comp Bonus Fund page.
