1952 Canadian GMC 9300 ½ ton short bed pickup.SOLD
Here is an incredible original patina restomod pickup that will turn heads and get compliments everywhere. The list of work and features is a long one but I will do my best to detail all of them below from the ground up.
Frame/roller:
New 18” Detroit Steel steelie rims 8” front with new 245/50/18 tires, 9” rear with new 275/45/18 tires. Late 80’s S10 116”wb frame that has had all unnecessary mounts and crossmembers removed and new mounts and crossmembers welded in. After modification the frame was degreased, cleaned, and painted. New upper and lower control arms installed, new shocks front and rear, new complete steering assembly installed, new custom rear drop blocks and new 15 gallon aluminum fuel tank installed. New slotted and drilled front brake rotors, new front calipers, new rear drums, new brakes all around, new brake hard lines and hoses all around.
Driveline:
2016 Chevrolet 6.0 L96 motor (24k miles when installed), 6L90 heavy duty 6 speed automatic transmission. Engine and transmission were completely cleaned and degreased then painted accordingly. New intake gasket set and injector O-rings installed. Custom intake tube with new MAF sensor. New water pump, new 140 amp alternator, new power steering pump and new tensioner pulley. New tube headers and custom 2.5” exhaust. New 3 row aluminum 1968 V8 Mustang radiator w/trans cooler, Spal electric fan and all new radiator/heater hoses. New braided high pressure transmission cooling lines. Lokar 6L90 shift linkage. New balanced driveshaft connected to factory S10 rear end.
Heat/Air:
All new semi custom Vintage Air system with all new components for heat and A/C. A/C interior vent runner color matched to interior.
Exterior:
95% original patina body. Original cab floor was removed and a new custom bead rolled floor pan/tunnel installed with custom floor bracing. Cab floor epoxy coated then coated with Raptor liner both inside and out for durability and sound deadening. Original firewall removed and new custom bead rolled firewall welded in. New hood springs and hinges. Fuel inlet removed from cab and welded smooth with matching patina. Front bumper splash pan was the ONLY aftermarket piece of sheet metal to be installed.
Interior:
Entire interior was thoroughly cleaned, sanded and painted base/clear. S10 tilt column clean, sanded and color matched with new custom steering wheel. Dolphin vintage look gauges with micro LED turn signal and high beam indicator between gauges. Dash has new speaker trim panel and glove box door. All dash matching vintage look control k***s for all controls. New EZ wire harness installed and wired throughout the truck with ALL exterior wiring protected in braided wire sleeving. Speartech LS wiring harness and control system. Electric 2 speed wiper motor with all new wiper arms and blades. New custom carpet throughout with pad and custom edge trim. Premium leather upholstery with diamond stitch on bench seat and door panels. Matching leather wrap installed on the steering wheel. New 2 piece headliner and trim. All new window seals, new door seals, new windlace, new sill seal, and door glass seals/felt. New window regulators, new door latch assemblies, new Altman bear-claw door assemblies and all new interior door handles.
Bed:
Bed has new raised steel sub frame to accommodate the S10 frame below. New actual 1” ruff sawn poplar planks with custom patina aging.
Misc:
All braided high pressure fuel lines with billet pre filter. Summit external fuel pump and Corvette style filter/regulator. All aluminum AN high pressure fittings throughout the fuel system. New Speedway power brake assembly. New headlamps, parking lamps and taillights.
Professional built with all quality components and attention to detail. This truck was built with the 6L90 6 speed automatic transmission, not the outdated 4L60 series that 99% of LS builders use. If it wasn’t right it was replaced or rebuilt. Vehicle is low, not recommended for rough gravel roads or tall curbs.
