I really hate it when a “so-called” “rebuilder” takes advantage of somebody and gives us true rebuilders a bad name! A customer reluctantly brought in an alternator off his motor home that he took to a “rebuilder” about an hour from here! I say reluctantly because the guy charged him for a rebuild and gave him the unit looking like it came from a junk yard and it only worked for about 1000 Miles! So naturally the customer is gun shy about another rebuilder! And I HATE IT when somebody takes advantage of somebody with a motor home, many members of my family travel the country like this, and you are at the mechanics mercy of you need something done! Oh and, the price I’m charging him is less than what the other guy did! Oh yeah, the best part, is now he is out of business...ya think???

Had this beautiful waiting for me when I got to the shop this morning! We've rebuilt the starter & generator for this beauty, but it still isn't charging right. Guess what, the "parts store" voltage regulator they bought is faulty...go figure! I'll get them a USA made regulator and hopefully that will cure it!

Got this big boy up and charging again...
I don't normally do installs but I have a soft spot for people traveling, I have a lot of family that are RV'rs and I've been on the other end of it myself, having problems like this, and some folks are waiting to take advantage of a traveler because they know, they don't have any options.
She's on the road to her next destination!
