โค๏ธ SOME CUSTOMERS JUST STAY WITH YOU. THIS ONE LEFT US SPEECHLESS. ๐บ๐ธ
A customer called us while passing through because she was having trouble with her front leveling jack and couldnโt get her RV off her truck.
Simple enough, right?
Except when we went out to help her, we got the privilege of meeting Sigrid.
And Iโm pretty sure we just met one of the most amazing women weโve ever had the pleasure of crossing paths with. โค๏ธ
Sigrid is 77 years young, traveling the country with her dog, Archie, and she has been on one incredible journey.
She started this adventure in October of 2019.
Each year, she adds another color of yarn to a giant map, tracing the roads she has traveled and the places she has discovered.
๐ด 2019 โ Red
๐ต 2020 โ Dark Blue
๐ต 2022 โ Light Blue
๐ฉท 2023 โ Pink
๐ค And now, the white yarn represents the beginning of her new journey โ her next 3 year of traveling and adding to her story.
And that map?! It isnโt just a map.
โซ Black dots = places she stayed
โช White dots = turns in the road
๐ด Red dots = national & state parks
๐ Yellow dots = recommendations for places she should visit next
And those little lapel pins covering her map?
They represent places of interest, Elks Lodges, national parks and all the memories sheโs collected along the way.
But the part of her story that really got meโฆ
Sigrid told me she knew she needed to retire by the time she was 70.
She had already traveled all over the world โ everywhere except South America and Spain.
And every time she returned home from one of those adventures, she said she kissed the ground because she loved America so much. ๐บ๐ธ
So she made herself a promise:
If she was going to slow down, she wanted to spend her time seeing her own country โ slowly.
Not flying over it.
Not rushing through it.
Seeing it.
One road at a time.
One little town at a time.
One national park at a time.
One conversation at a time.
And here she was today, sitting in her RV, telling us about her adventures, with Archie by her side, and a map behind her that tells a story most people could only dream of living.
She called us because a leveling jack wasnโt working.
We were the ones who ended up feeling blessed.
Because sometimes a service call isnโt just a service call.
Sometimes you meet someone who reminds you that there is still so much road left to travel.
