The cut, buff and assemble process is tedious but rewarding. TREND SETTER is coming along nicely, bushings are pressed back into rear shocks, shark fin antenna, door handles and mirrors are reassembled

Revolt Auto Paint Top Shelf Basecoat & Euro Clearcoat… There’s a saying… Either you learn how to paint or learn how to cut&buff… Definitely getting the hang of the latter 😂😂

EXTREME ONE didn’t sell today, bidding stopped at $45k, with the reserve not met. It doesn’t seem like the right market for such a vehicle, looking through the Mecum website, there was only about six C4500/5500 to roll through, none of which were comparable. Still was cool to watch something that started as an idea and a non-running marketplace impulse buy, roll through such an event. 💪🏼💪🏼

TREND SETTER is almost back to where she’s was 2yrs ago, when the paint and paint shop failed her… Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you respond to it…

TREND SETTERS doors, B-pillars and fender extensions are sanded, adjusted and taped with a 1/4” guide line to follow with the two-tone tape lines…
I guess “laser straight” is just going to have to be close enough…
The worst part about a simple, straight, parallel set of lines, is that any areas that are not straight and parallel are going to scream “LOOK AT ME”

TREND SETTER’s cab is looking good, not sure how much of the two-tone across the firewall will be visible, once all the insulation, air condition and miscellaneous components are installed, but those small, normally overlooked areas, speak volumes about the care and thought that went into the build

TREND SETTER’s doors, lower B-pillars, fender extensions and exhaust stack mounting brackets are now coated in Vanilla and cleared, now on to the cab, then start the process all over again to layout and paint the two-tone
